OUR PACK

Who We Are

Since its beginning, the Cub Scout program has been a fun and educational experience jam-packed with values. Besides providing a positive place where boys can enjoy safe, wholesome activities, Cub Scouting focuses on building character, improving physical fitness, teaching practical skills, and developing a spirit of community service.

Cub Scout Pack 103 is chartered by Annunciation Church and members of the Northern Star Council of the Boys Scouts of America.

Boys from 1st through 5th grade are welcomed to join our close knit pack where they will enjoy activities & outings while learning a thing or two…  We have a dedicated leadership which will provide a positive scouting experience.

We welcome all parents & children to our meetings so you can experience the Scouting tradition first hand.

What We Offer

Cub Scouting is an active program.  Everything we do is designed to have boys participating in active learning.  Activities happen at den and pack meetings as well as right at home with family members.  They are designed to be fun and to achieve the aims of Scouting – citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness.  Age-appropriate camping programs are packed with theme-oriented action that brings Cub Scouts into the world of imagination.

Registration dues are $35 for the year and covers the Cub Scout handbook, neckerchief and slide, and the monthly Boys Life magazine. Patches earned are also included during the year.   Shirts are $25.00 and can be purchased at Welcome Night while quantities last (saving you a trip to the Scout Shop in Golden Valley).

Uniform and Insignia of
the Cub Scouts

As a Cub Scout, you belong to a special group of people, you give service to your community, and you have made a promise to do your best to be one of the “good guys.” Wearing your uniform is a way of saying these things to everyone who sees you.

The parts that make up your Cub Scout uniform are these:

  • The Cub Scout shirt, with long or short sleeves

  • Cub Scout shorts or trousers

  • A cap that shows your rank in Cub Scouting (orange for Tiger, yellow for Wolf, blue for Bear, plaid for Webelos

  • A neckerchief that matches the color of your cap

  • A blue belt with a brass buckle

  • Official blue socks with orange or gold tops (orange tops for Tiger Cubs; gold or yellow tops for all other ranks)
